Commercial towing needs an operational handoff, not just a pickup address.
Fleet and business support
The essential details that help a fleet, contractor, or business coordinate a vehicle move with fewer avoidable delays.
Commercial vehicles and trailers can involve unit numbers, cargo considerations, access limitations, company approval processes, and a destination contact. A short dispatch-ready record can keep the tow from turning into a second operational problem.
Describe the full equipment. Provide the vehicle class, unit number, trailer type, approximate load status, and whether the vehicle can roll, steer, or be safely moved as-is.
Define authority. Identify the person who can approve the service and the person who can receive the vehicle at the destination. Avoid assuming a driver can accept a third-party change.
Plan the destination. Confirm the facility name, entrance or receiving area, business hours, and after-hours drop protocol. A general street address may not be enough for a commercial handoff.
I-40 through Amarillo is a major freight corridor, which means commercial recovery here is routine work for the operators who do it and specialised work for those who do not. Heavy-duty towing, trailer handling and load transfer need different equipment from a light-duty call, and the gap between the two is not something to discover when a truck arrives.
Cargo is its own problem and should be raised at the start. Whether the load is secured, whether it is perishable, hazardous or high-value, and whether it needs transferring to another trailer all affect the equipment, the timing and sometimes who is legally permitted to handle it. So does the hours-of-service position of the driver, since a recovery that runs long can leave a compliant driver unable to continue. Say all of it up front.
Before you send the request
- Vehicle, unit, trailer, and load description

- Access restrictions, gates, or safe staging information
Start a towing request
This submits a request to Amarillo Tow. It is not emergency dispatch and does not confirm a truck, an ETA, a quote, or a provider response. In traffic, injured, or otherwise unsafe? Contact emergency services first.
Commercial and heavy-duty work can require specialized equipment and site coordination. Ask the selected provider to confirm suitability for the actual vehicle and recovery conditions.
